Ureteric Tumour

Most tumours in the ureter require a laparoscopic (keyhole) procedure to remove the kidney and the ureter (nephroureterectomy). Occasionally, a short segment of ureter can be removed and the remaining ureter reattached to the bladder or reconstructed. If the volume of disease is small, then it can be treated by laser ablation using an endoscope passed to the ureter via the bladder in a very similar way to treating stones.
