Men are notoriously poor at seeking out health advice. We can offer a prostate assessment for men with concerns about urinary symptoms or for those seeking risk assessment for prostate cancer.
Erectile dysfunction (or impotence) is the inability to maintain an erection firm enough for penetrative sex. Obviously, this can be frustrating and embarrassing when it comes to seeking help. At SCU we can offer a full assessment and discussion of treatment options
Erectile Dysfunction
The causes of erectile dysfunction are multiple. Broadly they divide into organic eg Nerve damage, Vasculogenic, Hormone imbalance, Aging; or psychogenic eg depression, anxiety; however the majority of patients have several factors overlapping.
Prostate Health Check
This package provides an assessment of urinary symptoms, bladder function and prostate cancer risk. This self pay package is in development with our hospital partners, but each element is already available.
Vasectomy
This should be regarded as permanent male contraception. It is a short procedure and is usually carried out under local anaesthetic, but can also be performed under general anaesthetic.
